Job Opportunity

Our organisation is seeking a Support Worker with excellent interpersonal skills to assist participants in various settings.

  • Transport participants to school, allied health appointments, and community activities.
  • Provide support during outings to places like parks or social events.
  • Engage in meaningful activities outside the home to encourage participant engagement and independence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with participants and their families in both English and Somali.
  • Follow care plans and report any changes or concerns in participants' wellbeing.
  • Ensure participants' safety and comfort during transport and outings.
Requirements
  • Fluency in both English and Somali (mandatory).
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a person-centred approach to support.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience in community access, transport, or disability support.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or a related qualification.
