The Banking/Treasury Analyst is a key role within our team, responsible for providing high-quality banking support to our Investment Advisory, Superannuation, Family Office and Private Client groups. This includes electronic payment for securities purchased, term deposits, client requests, invoices, ATO fees and payments as instructed by clients.

Additional tasks include drawing/depositing cheques, reconciling and arranging manager and partner payment authorization to enable daily processing of payments. The role also requires an element of project support as the division is currently transitioning to new banking platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating client batches within the ANZ Transactive system or NAB Connect
  • Obtaining current account balances and preparing authorization sheets
  • Ensuring payment cut-off times are met
  • Creating new term deposits with the bank
  • Maintaining records relating to existing deposits in the Xplan system
  • Receiving and preparing cheques and verifying cheque requests
  • Writing manual cheques and obtaining authorised signatories
  • Printing reconciliation reports and signing off completed bank reconciliations
  • Filing all relevant paperwork as required

Requirements:

  • Proven administrator with previous experience in a banking or administration role within a financial planning/investment services environment
  • Strong administrative skills and ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience working with financial planning software (e.g. Xplan)
  • Positive team player with strong attention to detail and ability to work closely with advisors
