Key Responsibilities: Deliver inclusive social services, operate vehicles to transport clients, provide safe and respectful transport experience, assist with mobility aids, engage in conversation and activities.
Service DescriptionThe Red Cross Transport service is a door-to-door service that helps clients attend non-urgent medical appointments, social outings, or essential errands. The program supports physical, social, and emotional well-being and helps people remain independent in their own homes while still being connected to the community.
Requirements and Commitments- Commitment to participate in mandatory training and e-learning modules
- Ability to commit to a regular rostered shift
- Current full Australian driver's license and excellent driving record
As a Red Cross Transport volunteer, you will deliver more than just safe transport – you will offer companionship, dignity, and peace of mind. Your support will help clients maintain their independence, reduce isolation, and participate fully in community life.
