Finance Officer Role Overview

The primary objective of the Finance Officer role is to ensure the accurate and timely completion of financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management
  • Complete end-of-month general ledger processes, including preparation of journals, reconciliations, and registers.
  • Conduct financial management assurance processes, testing internal controls within the health service.
  • Perform quarterly Fringe Benefit Tax review process to ensure compliance with local policies.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will require:

  • A relevant accounting qualification and studying towards a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
  • Valid evidence of vaccination against COVID-19.

Work Environment

The Financial Reporting and Compliance team ensures accurate financial information reporting and compliance with relevant legislation and statutory requirements. The team prepares financial statements and reports, providing guidance on financial and regulatory matters.
