ASC is a leading provider of submarine solutions in Australia. We have been involved in the design, construction and sustainment of submarines for many years.

The company has a strong partnership with the Royal Australian Navy, delivering training services to their submariners. This role will provide an opportunity to share your knowledge and skills in control room system operations.

You will be responsible for delivering training in classroom, platform training simulator and virtual environments. You will also assess students' competencies and assist with training development and instructional design.

This civilian role involves working on Garden Island WA, based at the Royal Australian Navy's world-class training facility on HMAS Stirling. You will work with specialist equipment and contribute to the introduction of new capabilities onto the submarine.

  • Knowledge of submarine Control Room routines is essential.
  • Experience operating Manoeuvring Control Console (MCC) or Diving Safety Consoles (DSC) is required.
  • You must be a confident presenter with strong communication skills.
  • Collins Class Submariner Qualification is a prerequisite for this role.
  • You are expected to undertake Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • You will need to demonstrate the ability to apply adult learning principles to develop others' knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities

  4. Maintain your own knowledge and skills through ongoing learning.
  5. Provide input into configuration changes and impact assessments.
