We are seeking a highly skilled Flora and Vegetation Surveyor to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. As a key member of our Flora and Vegetation Team, you will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive flora and vegetation surveys, targeted significant species surveys, technical reporting, and impact assessments.
Conduct thorough fieldwork in various environments across Western Australia, including remote locations.
Collect and analyze ecological data, preparing clear and concise technical reports.
Liaise with technical and subject matter experts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Develop proposals, budgets, and tender documents to support project growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and best practices in terrestrial fauna, aquatic and marine ecology, mine closure, remote sensing, and environmental approvals.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A tertiary qualification in biological or environmental science, or a related discipline.
At least two years of experience in flora and vegetation surveying, preferably within an environmental consultancy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports.
The capacity to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to new challenges.
Taxonomic experience is beneficial but not essential.
