Intensive Care Unit Registrar

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registrar to join our team at Peninsula Private Hospital.

The ICU is a busy 11-bedded unit admitting in excess of 1500 patients annually, with a predominantly post-operative case mix. We have a wide variety of patients including complex Cardio-thoracic, upper GI, Neurosurgical patients, and Orthopaedic patients.

About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced ICU registrar to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, participating in multidisciplinary meetings, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing critical care services to patients admitted to the ICU
  • Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and contributing to patient care planning
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to ICU operations

Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years postgraduate experience in intensive care medicine or a related field
  • Hold unconditional AHPRA registration
  • Be available for flexible shift work over a 7-day roster
  • ALS/CALS certification desirable
