Job SummaryWe are seeking a Security Officer to provide security presence at a university campus in Bendigo, ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular foot patrols of the campus, ensuring a secure environment.
- Escort individuals around the campus, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
- Ensure property is locked and unlocked as required, maintaining the security of the premises.
- Direct and assist individuals in navigating the campus, providing clear instructions and support.
- Write incident reports, documenting any security-related incidents or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including students, staff, and visitors, providing clear and concise information.
- Current Victorian Security Licence.
- Certificate II in Security Operations.
- Current Valid First Aid Certificate (Level 2).
- Current drivers license.
- Physically fit and able to walk and stand for prolonged periods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and able to build rapport with students.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Strong awareness of surroundings.
- A competitive pay rate, including super and shift penalties where applicable.
- A sign-on bonus of $250 on completion of induction training and $750 at the 6-month point.
