Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Professional to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services across various clinical specialties, performing standard medical imaging examinations under guidance and contributing to quality control processes and approved research programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services across various clinical specialties.
- Perform standard medical imaging examinations under guidance, supporting students and junior staff at the AHP1 level.
- Contribute to quality control processes and approved research programs, ensuring safe and effective patient-centred services.
- At the AHP2 level, provide advanced radiographic services with minimal supervision, guiding less experienced radiographers, PDY staff, and students on placement.
- Maintain high clinical standards, contribute to quality assurance initiatives, and support research activities within the department.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Hold current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia and a Radiation Licence under the Radiation Protection and Control Act SA (1982).
- Proven ability to perform complex radiography procedures, applying sound clinical judgement and initiative.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills, with adaptability to change and positive contribution to the team environment.
- Sound knowledge of PACS, radiation safety, medico-legal responsibilities, and safe work practices within a healthcare setting.
