Civil Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. As a graduate civil engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from asset management to design and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, designing, and delivering civil infrastructure projects including roads, stormwater, and public spaces.
  • Prepare project documentation, including project planning investigations, reports, cost estimates, and risk/needs assessments.
  • Contribute to asset planning through data analysis, mapping, and digitisation using GIS and engineering software.
  • Prepare designs using CAD and support project delivery.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including utilities and government agencies.
  • Respond to civil infrastructure enquiries and correspondence.
  • Assist with grant funding applications and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments and support broader projects as required.
  • Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, standards, and policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering.
  • Current Class C Driver Licence.
  • Foundational knowledge of surveying, design, documentation, and project management, particularly for road, traffic, drainage, building, and open space projects of limited scale and complexity.
  • Understanding of preparing construction cost estimates.
  • Basic proficiency in civil engineering and drafting software.
  • Desirable (but not essential): Experience with Australian engineering design standards, civil engineering software, GIS tools, and surveying equipment.
