About the Role

  • Assist anaesthetists during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anaesthesia.
  • Act quickly and calmly in response to unexpected situations and emergencies.
  • Ensure every patient receives safe, high-quality care.
  • Maintain compliance with workplace health, safety, and legislative requirements.
Responsibilities

PACU Nurses will:

  • Provide exceptional care to patients recovering from anaesthesia.
  • Respond effectively and calmly to emergencies and changing patient needs.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a cohesive, multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure patient safety and quality care standards are consistently upheld.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in these roles, you will bring:

  • A minimum of 1 year acute hospital experience.
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse, or a Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology (or equivalent) for Anaesthetic Technicians.
  • Strong clinical skillset with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work early/late shifts with on-call components.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Any post-graduate perioperative qualifications (highly regarded).
