Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Safety Officer to join our healthcare team on the Sunshine Coast. As an integral part of our hospital, you will play a vital role in improving patient safety outcomes and contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional care.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with executives, managers, and staff to enhance patient safety and quality initiatives
  • Evaluate patient safety outcomes and identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Support the implementation and management of quality and risk frameworks within the organization

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Clinical background of at least 5 years' front-line experience (desirable)
  • Experience in healthcare accreditation and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and best practice evidence regarding patient safety
