Belmont Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our leadership team. Situated in the Newcastle region, we provide a Christ-centred education fostering both academic excellence and holistic wellbeing of students.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator who is enthusiastic about future-focused wellbeing practices and has a heart for Kingdom Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Head of Secondary in leading operational management of Years 7-12.
  2. Oversee and implement student wellbeing initiatives aligned with the College's purpose.
  3. Lead the Wellbeing Team to deliver wellbeing and pastoral care services effectively.
  4. Ensure alignment of student discipline and wellbeing practices with College policies.

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, actively attending their local church, and supporting the vision of the College.
  2. Understanding of child safety principles and ability to implement safeguarding policies in a school setting.
  3. Current registration with the NSW Education Standards Authority as a secondary teacher, ideally with qualifications in wellbeing, and a valid Working with Children Check.
  4. Experience in providing leadership and operational support for a Secondary School.
  5. Experience in developing and implementing student wellbeing programs.
  6. Strong skills in managing student behaviour, addressing sensitive issues with discretion.
  7. Demonstrated abilities in adhering to principles and values, working effectively with people, relating and networking, presenting and communicating with confidence, and adapting and responding to change.
