About the Role

The Strategic Business Development Leader plays a pivotal role in implementing business development initiatives that drive institutional growth and strategic commercial objectives. This key position will focus on building foundational processes to identify and manage complex transactions, including due diligence across financial, legal, operational, and strategic dimensions.

As a senior leader within the Corporate Development group, this role will also build and lead a Business Development team of professionals to support transactional activity from inception to execution. The team's primary objective is to cultivate relationships, source deals, and track relevant transactions to identify opportunities for investment or establish new business lines across three pillars: Places, Partners, and People.

About You

You are an experienced business development professional with a strong background in leading consulting firms, investment banks, corporate development teams, or start-ups. Your exceptional stakeholder management skills, coupled with your intelligence and credibility, enable you to engage cross-functionally with senior stakeholders. As a critical thinker, you have expertise in developing information systems to inform strategy implementation and leading commercial negotiations and partnerships in complex environments.

Your demonstrated ability to lead key transaction workstreams, provide proactive advice, and execute priority transactions sets you apart as a trusted partner. With a proven track record of leading high-performing Business Development teams that foster innovation and positive stakeholder engagement, you are well-suited to pursue a dynamic agenda in this purpose-led environment.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, reflecting your extensive experience and leadership capabilities.
