Biodiversity Matters


We are seeking a skilled Senior Ecologist to join our Sydney Natural Resources & Agriculture team. This role involves working collaboratively with clients to assess and manage biodiversity impacts.


The successful candidate will have experience in biodiversity impact assessment, management, and offsetting. They will also be accredited to apply the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) and have a strong understanding of NSW and Commonwealth regulatory frameworks.


Key responsibilities will include:



  • Delivering biodiversity values and constraints assessments, impact and offset assessments, and monitoring and management services
  • Assisting in the application of the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM)
  • Leading the delivery of proposals and technical reports for clients
  • Managing and delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Maintaining relationships with clients and regulatory agencies

What You'll Bring



  • Experience in biodiversity impact assessment and offsetting
  • Accreditation to apply the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM)
  • Strong understanding of NSW and Commonwealth regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in botany, ecology, or a related discipline
