About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to join our team at New Forests. As an Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our Investments team across all investment transactions in Australia and New Zealand, covering forestry, agriculture, carbon, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Investments team in analyzing potential target investments and taking responsibility for specific delegated tasks associated with large-scale investment transactions.
  • Develop skills in the analysis of potential target investments, ultimately taking ownership of defined target investments as your skills are proven.
  • Assist in the development of data analysis, dashboards, and other tools designed to better enable the wider team and increase team efficiency.
  • Lead the preparation of regular reports on investment activity and transactions, including quarterly reports and special client reports.
  • Collaborate with the Company Secretary, Operations, Analytics, and Investor Services Departments as required.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to all Investment Team activities, including debates on target investments, preparation of written material, due diligence processes, and identification of new investment opportunities.
Requirements
  • High levels of initiative, curiosity, and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in the field of forestry or agriculture (highly desirable, but not required).
  • Experience using AI tools to problem-solve and automate tasks (desirable but not required).
  • Relevant undergraduate qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and Microsoft Office skills, including Power Point and Excel (particularly financial modeling).
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Good analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects on time.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work within a team environment.
