Senior Eye Care Professional

We are seeking an experienced Orthoptic Specialist to collaborate with an Ophthalmologist on a weekly basis in Sunbury. This role involves assessing general ophthalmic conditions through initial and follow-up testing, managing patient load alongside the Clinician, providing support in Imaging Department and minor procedures like intravitreal injections, and ordering supplies and items required for consultations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' eye conditions and develop effective treatment plans
- Work closely with the Clinician to manage patient load and ensure seamless care delivery
- Provide support in the Imaging Department and participate in minor procedures such as intravitreal injections
- Source and procure necessary equipment and supplies for consultations
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Orthoptics
- Be a registered member with the Australian Orthoptic Board (AOB)
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and skills in Orthoptic assessments and services provision
- Be able to work across various eye specialties and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
