
Financial Crime Investigation Leader

Drive strategic high-risk investigations to prevent financial crime, focusing on national security, terrorism financing, human impact crimes, and organized crime.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage cross-functional teams in multilateral and bilateral projects with law enforcement agencies to enhance AUSTRAC Fintel Alliance initiatives.
- Coordinate police requests for assistance, including emergent and high-priority support, and lead the AML/CTF quality assurance function.
- Promote ongoing improvement in compliance with AML/CTF obligations and champion investigative capabilities to safeguard the community from financial crime.
We seek an experienced leader with a proven track record in financial crime, law enforcement, or anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing. You'll need exceptional leadership skills, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.
Requirements:- Demonstrated expertise in senior Financial Crime Investigations roles, with a deep understanding of Financial Crime, Law Enforcement, or AML/CTF.
- Proven experience working at a senior leadership level within a national or global organization in investigations capacity.
- Effective representation of your organization at industry and government forums, presenting insights and providing expert advice.
This role is part of the Risk, Group Investigations team, requiring either a Commonwealth NV1 security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
