This role presents a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in strategic planning and contribute to the development of our city's vision.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of planning legislation, policy development, and complex assessment work.
- Lead the assessment of complex planning proposals and planning policy reviews.
- Negotiate Planning Agreements to secure optimal outcomes for our community.
- Contribute to the preparation, implementation, and review of land use strategies, planning instruments, and urban design policy.
- Represent our interests on State infrastructure and development projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage specialist consultants, and engage with government stakeholders.
- Prepare high-quality reports and advice for us and the Local Planning Panel.
This is an opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects that shape our city's future.
About You:- Tertiary qualifications in town planning, urban design, or a related discipline are essential.
- A proven track record in strategic planning, policy development, and complex assessment work.
- A strong understanding of planning legislation, State planning policies, and the plan-making process.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating agreements and achieving positive community outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities.
