Job Overview:

The role of Assistant Manager is pivotal in fostering strong relationships with clients, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and overseeing daily operations.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to address concerns, report on deficiencies, and secure new assignments.
  • Organize and participate in regular meetings with clients, General Managers, and Regional Managers.
  • Directly oversee budgeted hours and expenses for assigned locations.
  • Submit accurate monthly billing reports.
  • Ensure delivery of services aligns with work specifications and Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Review tasks and assignments with staff to guarantee proper execution and maintenance of expected quality levels.
  • Ensure the safety of personnel and verify equipment is in good working condition.
  • Report accidents and property damage within specified deadlines.
  • Accountable for equipment including keys, communications devices, and conduct daily inventory checks.
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs for on-site equipment.
  • Process orders for equipment and supplies, maintaining adequate inventories.
  • Regularly assess operational efficiencies and assist General Managers in enhancing standards, work schedules, etc.
  • Work closely with and train associates daily.
  • Maintain attendance records for all personnel.
  • Hold regular meetings with employees to review performance, attendance, and health and safety issues.
  • Administer corrective disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Identify and resolve site-based problems, informing or involving the GM and RM when needed.
  • Document complaints and ensure resolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

    About You:

    Prior experience in hospitality is beneficial. Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute tasks with minimal supervision is essential.

    Working in a unionized environment, familiarity with Collective Agreements, and ability to provide guidelines and implementation are valuable assets.

    A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
