Blueberry Grower

We are seeking an experienced Blueberry Grower to join our team. As a key member of our blueberry department, you will be responsible for utilizing highly specialized growing techniques to propagate and grow high-quality blueberries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing growing strategies to achieve production targets. This includes caring for crops, ensuring team members complete crop care and picking tasks, and meeting relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality requirements.

  • Developing and managing daily work orders
  • Evaluating crop registration
  • Creating and managing routine maintenance schedules
  • Managing fertilizers correctly
  • Troubleshooting growing software and maintenance issues
  • Participating in the on-call roster
  • Accountable for responding to emergencies
  • Managing alarm set points
  • Checking picking forecasts and planning picking accordingly
  • Liaising with the Head Grower regarding crop care requirements
  • Preparing and finalizing reports for the Head Grower
