Occupational Therapist Role Overview

Hanrahan Health provides opportunities for experienced occupational therapists to work in a multidisciplinary therapy services environment.

This role involves working in various clinical settings, including clinics, hospitals, and schools, providing support to junior clinicians and contributing to the development of clients across all age groups.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience working as an occupational therapist, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working in the disability sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage an allocated caseload and complete therapeutic services in a timely manner
  • Assess clients' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardized assessments
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each client
  • Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based
  • Support and advise on adaptations to the environment, including home, school, work, and residential facilities
  • Recommend the provision of assistive technology to assist clients with their functional limitations and promote independence
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree-qualified occupational therapist
  • Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

About You:
  • Considerable experience working as an occupational therapist, preferably across a diverse range of clients
