Key Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality content for multiple social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Monitor and respond to interactions with followers on these platforms, ensuring a positive community engagement experience.
  • Design and create visually appealing posters and social media posts using design software like Canva.
  • Develop creative visuals to promote campaigns, events, and other initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to align social media efforts with broader campaigns and organizational goals.
  • Plan, design, and send email campaigns, newsletters, and updates to our audience, ensuring all materials align with our branding and goals.
  • Review and proofread content for social media, emails, and other communication materials, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Transcribe audio or video content from community meetings as needed for social media or other communication purposes.
  • Support the organization of 3-4 community events per month, including event promotion, in-person or virtual event support, and other necessary tasks.
  • Ensure the website and all resources are updated regularly and perform plugin/software updates as needed.

Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with design software like Canva, social media platforms, and content management tools.
  • Excellent proofreading and copy-editing skills, along with the ability to transcribe audio/video content accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse audiences.

What We Offer

A full-time position based primarily in the Main Office. Regular travel is required for meetings, events, and training, with occasional out-of-town travel. A competitive salary range of $22.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
