Teacher Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our community at Ingraham High. As a special education classroom teacher, you will develop and enhance an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains a positive educational environment conducive to the growth and development of assigned special education students;
  • Plans and implements an instructional program tailored to individual student needs and goals;
  • Adapts and modifies programs and plans as necessary to ensure student progress;
  • Establishes and enforces clear classroom policies and procedures governing student behavior;
  • Evaluates and records student progress and achievement;
  • Supervises and guides assigned non-certificated personnel to support student success;
  • Collects and analyzes data; develops, implements, and evaluates individualized education plans (IEPs);

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution;
  • Proven experience teaching a culturally diverse student population in an urban school setting;
  • Valid state teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement;
  • First Aid/CPR training may be required;
  • Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to achieve academic success;
