Job Title: Mechanical Technician / Fitter Night Shift

  • We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician / Fitter to join our team in a night shift role. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, and corrective action on automated machines at our manufacturing facilities.

About the Role:

">

This is a 12 hour night shift (18:00 - 06:00) with flexibility required to meet operational needs. You will work closely with the Maintenance Engineer and possess experience conducting preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, and corrective action on filling machines, packaging machines, and supporting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Conducting regular inspections and performing maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Performing repairs and maintenance on automated machines, including TIG stainless steel welding and Lathe and Milling machine work.
  • Working with Microsoft software packages and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Supporting manufacturing operations and working to GMP principles and an appreciation of aseptic processes and techniques.

Requirements:

  • Certificate 3 Mechanical Engineering trade or Indentured Certificate as a Fitter & Turner.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and operation of automated filling and packaging equipment.
  • Expertise in fault diagnosis and corrective action.
  • Experience within a regulated GMP environment in the Pharmaceutical or food manufacturing industry.
