Job Title

A Consultant role is available in schools to deliver trauma-informed education and support.

  • Lead the delivery of formal professional development training to all staff.
  • Provide coaching engagements with teachers and caregivers.
  • Participate in school leadership meetings and learning support teams.
  • Offer consultation services for social emotional support of students within the school/home environment.
  • Plan and facilitate capacity-building opportunities for parents and carers.

Work closely with teachers, parents, and caregivers to create safe, regulated, and emotionally competent environments for students.

Requirements For Candidates Are
  • Postgraduate qualifications in social work, psychology, education, or creative arts therapy.
  • 8 years' experience working in social work, psychology, education, or allied health services.
  • Advanced knowledge of trauma-informed principles and practices for supporting children and families.
  • Prior experience working with children living with trauma and understanding childhood development and therapeutic frameworks.
  • Experience delivering workshops and presentations in schools or allied health settings.
  • Professional experience in mental health services.
  • Current registration with a national professional body (e.g., AASW).
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
  • National Police History Check.
