Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist with Ozcare, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting clinical assessments in clients' homes to identify their needs and develop individual intervention plans.
  • Providing equipment and mobility aids to enhance independent living skills, such as hoists, mobile commodes, and wheelchairs.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.

You will also be responsible for reporting to case managers and making referrals for nursing, physiotherapy, dietetics, and other services to ensure optimal client health outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A warm and caring nature.
  • A genuine interest in helping clients live their best life in their own home.
  • A positive attitude to health and wellbeing.
  • Current Police Screening Certificate.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) and Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • Current Queensland driver's licence.
  • First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) & Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including:

  • An estimated annual salary of $70,000 - $100,000.
  • 5 weeks annual leave.
  • Annual leave loading.
  • Optional NFP salary packaging, meal entertainment cards totalling $18,550 per year.
