- Provide leadership to effectively manage the team consistent with statutory responsibilities and the strategic direction and operational policies of the organisation.
- Lead and coordinate the successful development of regulatory intelligence capabilities and products to support regulatory activity.
- Provide high level intelligence analysis on both complex and sensitive issues and identify opportunities, solutions and strategies to address contentious, long-term and emergent issues.
- Establish and implement effective communication systems, both internal and external to the organisation, to ensure stakeholders are consulted and information is disseminated as required.
- Deliver briefings and other documentation to clearly communicate findings of analysis to influence executive and committee decision making.
- Represent the organisation at meetings and forums to provide expert intelligence, analysis and advice on key regulatory issues.
- Strong experience in engaging with stakeholders in relation to difficult and/or sensitive issues.
- Excellent research, conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand and clearly communicate complex analytical findings.
- Excellent organisational skills and the capability to self-manage multiple competing priorities while working to tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including quality assurance ability.
- Flexibility to work both independently and work with geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong data and regulatory intelligence literacy and reporting skills, including structured analytical techniques.
- Understanding the role of data, intelligence and information by modern regulatory agencies.
- Ability to manage, develop and lead a team including data and intelligence specialist staff.
- Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
- 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
- Candidates must hold Australian citizenship.
- Appointment is conditional on successfully completing a national police check.
