We are currently seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our team based in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing the monthly, fortnightly, and ad-hoc payrolls, as well as supporting the effective use and management of payroll data within our HRIS systems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, with a proven track record in a similar role within an organization of 1,500+ employees. Strong communication and time management skills, as well as experience with Chris21 and/or Ceridian Dayforce, are highly desirable.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including training and development opportunities, health and wellbeing initiatives, and a flexible working environment.
Job Description:
- Process various aspects of payroll, including employee master data, leave accruals, bank file preparation, and transfers to the Financials system.
- Manage employee terminations, redundancies, Award rates, casual timesheets, and organization structure within the Financials system.
- Provide efficient and accurate payroll advice, covering superannuation, termination payments, and awards, to the Southern Cross Austereo group.
- Support the implementation of new HR/Payroll functionality through documentation and testing, working with the Payroll Manager and support community.
- Assist the Payroll Manager in ensuring compliance with ATO payroll legislation and Superannuation Guarantee Contributions, and facilitate the smooth delivery of various reports for company reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years payroll experience and a proven track record within a similar role in an organization of 1,500+ employees.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Strong systems skills and willingness to learn new technology, experience with Chris21 and/or Ceridian Dayforce highly desirable.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
