About Unique Metals Laser

We are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of a Factory Hand.

This position involves packing and loading customer goods for pick up, unloading goods on trucks, operating a Forklift, assembly operations, removing parts from laser cut sheets, unloading of parts from machines, grinding, sanding and linishing of laser cut metal components, tapping, nutserting and studding of components, general housekeeping of work areas, assist with folding and fabrication duties, ad hoc tasks as directed by Production Supervisor. A current Australian Forklift licence is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Packing and loading customer goods for pick up
  • Unloading goods on trucks
  • Operating a Forklift
  • Assembly operations
  • Removing parts from laser cut sheets
  • Unloading of parts from machines
  • Grinding, sanding and linishing of laser cut metal components
  • Tapping, nutserting and studding of components
  • General housekeeping of work areas
  • Assist with folding and fabrication duties
  • Ad hoc tasks as directed by Production Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Australian Forklift licence

  • Ability to work in a busy environment
  • Experience with Hand and power tools
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
