About the Role
School Crossing Supervisors play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our community. During school terms, they are responsible for assisting school children and other pedestrians at established children's crossings and traffic lights.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist school children and other pedestrians at designated crossings and traffic lights.
- Operate safety equipment and ensure clear visibility for motorists and pedestrians.
- Exercise good judgment and road sense, adhering to Australian road rules.
- Follow Safe Work Procedures to ensure community safety.
- Be punctual, reliable, and available to work shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or both.
Requirements
- Experience in traffic safety or working with children is highly regarded.
- Ability to lift, utilize, and operate safety equipment within defined standards.
- Strong knowledge of Australian road rules and regulations.
- Competent understanding and ability to follow Safe Work Procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
