Senior Mechanical Engineer Role

This is a key leadership position within our engineering team, responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of mechanical projects.

The role involves reviewing and interpreting project scopes, acting as a lead mechanical engineer or assisting in project delivery and tenders, designing and specifying components, completing 2D and 3D design work, participating in design and safety reviews, determining scope and design changes, preparing calculations, reports, datasheets, BOMs, and methodologies for construction and commissioning, providing procurement and manufacturing support, and training and mentoring junior personnel.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • A minimum of 7+ years experience in the mining industry
  • Experience with balanced machines and materials handling
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering tools, software, and CAD systems
