Nutrien Ag Solutions Limited is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Calibrate, install, and conduct preventive maintenance, repair or replace a variety of instruments including pressure, temperature, and level devices, variable frequency drives, electric motors, motor control centers, and mechanical relay services.
- Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of PLC controlled automated systems, including actuated valves, pumps, flow meters, scales, and associated interlocks and safety systems.
- Manage daily maintenance work-flow activities utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other instrument software systems.
- Perform electrical work on installation of new services, troubleshooting, grounding, and repairs.
- Help develop and implement maintenance process improvements and standard work procedures, and create additional PMs to improve plant reliability.
- Follow written procedures and complete detailed checklists.
- Perform repair, troubleshooting, or general plant maintenance work on various types of pumping systems, compressors, generators, reactors, heat exchangers, filters, and agitators in operation.
- Play a critical role in ensuring your own safety and the safety of others, adhering to all regulatory guidelines (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.).
- Inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment up to 480 volts.
- Work closely with contractors, vendors, and internal departments to develop PM standards on equipment.
- Perform building and grounds maintenance, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and fabrication.
- Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear; replace defective parts and reassemble equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- 3+ years' experience required, preferably maintenance/electrical experience in a chemical, PSM, or liquid fertilizer plant.
- Instrumentation/Electrical degree or certification is preferred.
- Experience interpreting electrical drawings, one lines, and Process Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), and loop diagrams.
- Working knowledge of temperatures, pressure, flows, electronic transmitters.
- Ability to inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.
- Working knowledge/troubleshooting pneumatic/electronic instruments, devices, and analyzers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and as a team.
