Employment & Safety Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Associate in the Employment & Safety division. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting junior lawyers on employment & safety matters, including disputes and litigation in tribunals and courts.

Your primary focus will be on providing expert advice on employment, industrial relations, discrimination and safety matters to clients. This includes managing large underpayment and other employment compliance reviews and regulatory matters, as well as assisting clients with enterprise bargaining and managing industrial disputes.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible for advising clients on restructuring and the employment aspects of corporate transactions, as well as conducting or advising on workplace investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage employment & safety matters, including disputes and litigation in tribunals and courts
  • Provide expert advice on employment, industrial relations, discrimination and safety matters
  • Manage large underpayment and other employment compliance reviews and regulatory matters
  • Assist clients with enterprise bargaining and managing industrial disputes
  • Advise clients on restructuring and the employment aspects of corporate transactions
  • Conduct or advise on workplace investigations
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in employment law, ideally gained in a similar role at a large law firm or international organization. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
