Job Description">

International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to provide high-quality healthcare services to patients in Alice Springs, Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical services comparable to those provided by a USG Facility Medical Officer during clinic hours of operation and after-hours coverage as necessary.

The GP will obtain health histories and perform physical examinations, diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a treatment plan, prescribe medication in accordance with state statute and professional practice guidelines, and maintain problem-oriented health records for each patient seen.

The GP will also ensure continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services on a timely basis, provide excellent internal/external customer service to assist patients with their healthcare needs, arrange referrals for patients requiring services not offered on-site, review incoming reports, and assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.

Required Qualifications">
  • Must have a minimum of five years of experience as a general practice physician.

The ideal candidate will possess a license to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPR) and have strong communication skills and empathetic demeanor.
