About the Opportunity

UniSC Careers is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Psychology Professor to join our School of Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of clinical psychology education and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality teaching and leadership in postgraduate clinical psychology programs.
  • Supervise students in clinical psychology, ensuring their professional development through advanced research and clinical practice.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with industry and community stakeholders to benefit students, the university, and the broader community.
  • Contribute to the operation of UniSC's psychology clinic, providing mental health services to the community and functioning as a research and teaching facility.
  • Lead and contribute to trauma-based research, particularly in child/adolescent therapies and PTSD, with a strong track record of external research funding and publications.
Requirements
  • A doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology.
  • Full registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
  • A track record of research excellence in child/adolescent mental health or trauma-based therapies (e.g., CBT, EMDR).
  • Experience supervising Higher Degree by Research candidates.
  • A passion for leadership in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Proven success in fostering academic partnerships and leading research projects.
