About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Law Specialist to join our team at K&L Gates Australia. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and guidance on construction law matters to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and negotiate construction documentation, including contracts and agreements.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on construction law matters, including dispute resolution and litigation.
  • Manage and run construction disputes, including adjudications and arbitrations.
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship activities, including identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with key clients.
  • Develop and deliver training and development programs for colleagues, including on-the-job training and supervision.
  • Contribute to the firm's learning and development program, including the development of knowledge and learning resources.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction law, preferably with a well-regarded firm or sophisticated in-house environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide expert advice and guidance on complex construction law matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
