Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Electrical and Powerline Worker Apprentices. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and comprehensive training in electrical and communication installations, maintenance, and testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing preparation work and installation of cable pathways and supports
  • Installing electrical and communications cabling as required (both internal & external)
  • Identifying and terminating electrical and communications cabling (e.g. colour coding)
  • Assisting in testing of installed cabling systems and associated equipment
  • Interpreting and maintaining up-to-date documentation
  • Maintaining good communication with teammates and other personnel at all times
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant Australian Standards and site requirements
  • Assisting with various project and service groups as required, including purchasing and equipment checks
  • Participating in on and off-the-job training to advance your skills and responsibilities
  • Complying at all times with company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Commitment to completing a 4-year apprenticeship in Certificate III Electrotechnology
  • Current Drivers Licence with reliable transport
  • Construction General Induction (White Card)
  • Completion of Year 10 or higher education
  • Motivated, shows initiative and willingness to learn
  • Reliable, punctual and enthusiastic attendance
  • Diligence to safe work requirements
  • Follow directions and perform tasks with excellent attention to detail
  • Contributes to achieving desired outcomes and a positive work culture
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
