We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Assurance Professional to join our team in Canberra, ACT.

  • Undertake qualitative and quantitative cost assurance activities across multiple projects and programs

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding of Defence governance and assurance platforms, as well as experience working in a CASG/Defence/Defence Industry environment.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake cost assurance activities across a range of functions
  • Synthesise information and extract strategic level briefing knowledge from qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Prepare executive governance briefings in accordance with Defence policies and procedures
  • Lead or coordinate monthly governance and reporting
  • Identify and implement mitigation strategies to manage risks, issues, and opportunities relating to governance of programmatic objectives
  • Other relevant tasks as required relating to program delivery of capability acquisition and sustainment

">The Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience
  • Experience in a CASG/Defence/Defence Industry environment
  • Previous experience with Defence governance and assurance platforms (PPRIP, MRM)
  • Strong understanding of Defence systems (financial, budget, capability requirements deliver plans)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Please note that all candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance.
