Senior Legal Professional

The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven and ambitious senior legal professional to join our global distributor of life insurance products in Australia, UK and Canada.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior legal professional who is keen to move up into a leadership role with significant scope to impact the direction and success of a growing international business.

In this key role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and strategic advice on all commercial matters affecting the global life insurance distribution business.

You will play a key role in shaping and embedding a high performing, proactive, and commercially focused legal function within a dynamic, growth-oriented international enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide broad legal support across corporate transactions, commercial agreements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Play a key role in strategic transactions, supporting the business in capital raisings, M&A activity, and international expansion plans.
  • Advise the Board and exec team on governance frameworks, statutory obligations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to mitigate legal and regulatory risks across multiple jurisdictions.

Ideal Candidate

  • Admitted as a Solicitor in Australia or New Zealand.
  • 10-15 years PAE with broad generalist experience covering commercial, corporate, governance, and risk management matters.
  • Experience working in financial services, ideally life insurance.
