Design Manager Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design coordination and delivery of complex façade curtain wall and window wall systems for high-rise developments.

This is a pivotal role within our subcontracting firm, specialising in large-scale façade packages exceeding $10 million in value.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in façade high rise curtain wall and/or window wall design management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead façade design development from concept to construction
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, and internal teams
  • Manage international procurement processes and supplier relationships
  • Oversee design documentation, compliance, and approvals
  • Drive value engineering and innovation in façade curtain wall and window wall solutions
  • Lead technical role in support of project teams on design and construct projects
  • Support in scoping, brief development and selection & engagement of technical consultants and key suppliers/fabricators
  • Assist with development of complex installation and fabrication work packages
  • Assist with temporary works management related to access, installation equipment and material movements
  • Technical reviews, risk and opportunity identification to client design
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in façade high rise curtain wall and/or window wall design management
  • Managed multiple stakeholder and subcontractors on large-scale projects
  • Prior experience in international procurement and logistics
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify cost efficiencies and program requirements
  • Experience with Digital Engineering & BIM
  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred
