As a Childcare Educator, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of engaging play-based learning activities for children aged 6 months to 5 years old. You will provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.

Your role will include:

  • SUPPORTING THE PLANNING AND DELIVERY OF AGE-APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING ART, MUSIC, MOVEMENT, AND OUTDOOR PLAY
  • FOSTERING A POSITIVE AND INCLUSIVE CLASSROOM CULTURE THAT PROMOTES TEAMWORK AND RESPECT FOR DIVERSITY
  • OBERVING AND ASSESSING THE DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRESS OF EACH CHILD, AND COMMUNICATING WITH PARENTS AND COLLEAGUES ABOUT INDIVIDUAL NEEDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
  • Maintaining a clean and organized room, including managing materials and supplies
  • ENSURING THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF ALL CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES, FOLLOWING ALL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

The centre has received an 'Exceeding' rating, making it one of Australia's top eight per cent of early learning services. Our centre caters for up to 160 children with operating hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm, and we offer on-site parking. We are located in Pakenham and nearby suburbs Beaconsfield and Officer.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hold a minimum ACECQA-approved Certificate 3 or Diploma qualification in Children's Services
  • AN UNDERSTANDING OF BOTH THE EARLY YEARS LEARNING FRAMEWORK (EYLF) AND NATIONAL QUALITY STANDARDS (NQS)
  • PROVEN SECTOR EXPERIENCE WITHIN AN EARLY CHILDHOOD SERVICE (WORKING WITH CHILDREN 0-5 YEARS)
  • EXCELLENT VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • A CURRENT WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
  • FIRST AID CERTIFICATE
  • ABILITY TO WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITH A TEAM
  • COMMITMENT TO ONGOING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
