The role of Principal Consultant – Decarbonisation at Talent Nation is a unique opportunity to lead strategies that reduce emissions and develop solutions for clients' sustainability goals. This position combines technical expertise with commercial insight, requiring leadership and influence.
About the Role- Client Advisory: Advise on decarbonisation strategies, focusing on Scope 3 emissions in Australian supply chains.
- Strategy Development: Create tailored, industry-aligned decarbonisation strategies.
- Business Development: Expand decarbonisation services by identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, and building client relationships.
This role requires collaboration across industries, developing tailored solutions, and contributing to thought leadership. The successful candidate will also be responsible for mentoring and fostering high-performance teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement evidence-based, tech-enabled plans for decarbonisation strategies.
- Create tailored, industry-aligned decarbonisation strategies that address Scope 3 emissions.
- Expand decarbonisation services by identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, and building client relationships.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a global consultancy that combines science, strategy, and storytelling to drive meaningful change. As a Principal Consultant – Decarbonisation, you will be part of a team that provides guidance through complexity and develops enduring roadmaps.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of decarbonisation challenges in various sectors, including built environment, agriculture, livestock, textiles, and wine. You will also need to have excellent analytical skills, expertise in data analysis, carbon accounting, and tools aligned with Australian/NZ standards.
You will be a natural leader who can mentor and develop team members, as well as influence stakeholders. Your ability to translate sustainability goals into commercially viable solutions makes you a trusted advisor to clients across industries.
Requirements- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in Sustainability, Climate Change, or Business (MBA) preferred.
- Membership in professional bodies (e.g., EIANZ, Supply Chain Sustainability School) is a plus.
