EOI – Tertiary Supervisors of School and/or Early Childhood Education Centre Placements: A Rewarding Opportunity

The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking experienced educators to fill the role of Tertiary Supervisors of School and/or Early Childhood Education Centre Placements. As a Tertiary Supervisor, you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting preservice teachers throughout their Professional Experience placement.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor preservice teachers throughout their placement, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Act as an independent advocate for preservice teachers, supporting all aspects of the placement in an objective manner.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and make judgements about the extent to which preservice teachers meet the Standards.
- Make initial contact and up to three face-to-face visits throughout the placement period to provide support and guidance.
- Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathise with students.
- Proven ability to assess priority of tasks, manage workload and meet deadlines, in a busy education environment.
