Key Responsibilities- Provide Patient Care: You will be responsible for admitting, managing, and discharging patients under the supervision of our ICU consultant.
- Conduct Ward Rounds: You will conduct regular inpatient ward rounds, incorporating teaching to a multi-disciplinary team and providing advice to referring medical practitioners as needed.
Our ICU is located in a vibrant city in the tropical north of Australia, offering a unique blend of cultures and breathtaking natural beauty. The city boasts a thriving arts and culinary scene, making it an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxed atmosphere.
The Facility- Annual Admission Rate: Our ICU has an annual admission rate of 1250 patients, providing a high volume of cases for you to work with.
- Accreditation: Our ICU is accredited for 12 months of CICM training, with accreditation towards rural, paediatrics, trauma, and neurosurgery requirements.
- AHPRA Registration: You must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience: You must have experience in a critical care department, with a minimum of PGY 4 or above.
- Training Pathway: You must be a member of a critical care training pathway (CICM, ANZCA, ACEM) and expected to complete training within 2 years.
- Indigenous Health: You must have an interest in and a commitment to improving Indigenous health.
