Electrical Technician Job Overview

Mineral processing solutions are delivered globally by our team. Our products include the IsaMill, Jameson Cell and Albion Process technologies.

We combine technology with a dynamic team to deliver client solutions that combine process design, engineering, training, commissioning and ongoing support for project life.

The successful candidate will work together with the cathode plate manufacturing team and electrode handling machine production team to support on-site manufacturing tasks. Additionally, they will conduct on-site audits, shop testing and commissioning of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development, investigation and implementation of machine projects (including automation) and other technologies.
  • Fault-finding, maintenance and repair of facilities to ensure optimal operation.
  • Conduct routine audits to support clients and stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting and optimizing electrical systems.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure success.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver project goals effectively.
Qualifications
  • Mechanical maintenance experience working with machinery.
  • Experience in Copper/Zinc refineries or electrowinning maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Engineering qualification or specific industry experience.
  • Electrical experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in mining and/or mass production is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate technical issues with clients.
