Quality Assurance Manager

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at PFD Food Services. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our seafood and meat processing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure the effectiveness of our QMS.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Lead and mentor the quality assurance team to ensure a high level of competency and performance.
- Identify areas for quality improvement and implement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, inspections, and audits.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the seafood and/or meat processing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GFSI, and other relevant food safety standards and regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
