Role Overview

As a Lifestyle and Wellbeing Officer at Bupa Woodville, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging and connection among our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Activity Facilitation: Plan and deliver a range of activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including art classes, gardening clubs, day trips, and movie nights.
  2. Resident Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents with cognitive impairment or mental health needs, and assist with daily living activities such as mealtimes and outings.
  3. Feedback and Evaluation: Gather feedback from residents and their families through surveys and conferences to ensure activities meet their needs and preferences.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan and deliver activities, document progress, and escalate any concerns.
  5. Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring a tidy environment.
  6. Catering Support: Assist with meal preparation and serving, adhering to food safety standards and monitoring resident preferences.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Enriching Lives: A genuine passion for creating a positive impact on the lives of others.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: The ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in caring for elders in an Aged Care or community setting is essential.
  • Certifications: A Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or Individual Support, or willingness to complete, and a First Aid Certificate.
