About the Role

We are seeking skilled accounting professionals to join our dynamic business services teams. Our ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting principles.

  • Our team requires experienced accountants to prepare a range of financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting, and financial reporting standards across various industries.
  • Proficient accountants will be responsible for preparing income tax returns for a variety of entities including companies, trusts and high net worth individuals.
  • Tax planning and advisory services will also be provided to clients, including advice on business operations and regulatory matters.
  • The successful candidate will provide a range of business and tax advisory services such as business structuring, improvement, and growth advisory.
  • Candidates will liaise with clients, managers and partners regarding queries.
  • Mentorship and assistance to junior staff in their training and development will also be provided.
Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a professional services environment and a keen interest in tax and advisory.
  • Strong relationship building skills; we work as a wider Business Services team, and you will need to liaise with various levels and teams across BDO as well as providing exceptional service to our clients.
  • Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
  • An interest in, or currently completing (or finished) a CA or CPA qualification.
  • Knowledge and use of Advanced Professional Solutions (APS) and/or Xero is desirable.
