Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Underwriter to join our team. As a Motor Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting motor policies and determining effective pricing and policy negotiation. You will also manage renewals, endorsements, and new business opportunities to attain financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite motor policies and determine effective pricing/policy negotiation
  • Manage Renewals, Endorsements, and New Business opportunities to attain financial targets
  • Maintain and exceed service level standards
  • Follow best practices and uphold ethical and regulatory standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within Insurance in Underwriting/Broking/Motor Claims
  • Industry qualifications (minimum tier 2) or comparable industry experience
  • Strong customer service focus with experience in intermediated distribution channels desirable
  • Strong communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to learn and to use your own initiative
  • An ability to foster strong Broker/Market relationships
